In Store This July

Find out all the latest news and events that have been happening throughout our stores this month.

“Darlington Show Their True Colours”

Earlier this month, a team of staff from our Darlington store were joined by our Technology department to take on the Darlington Colour Run Challenge. The colourful race was filled with inflatable obstacles and saw participants be splattered from head to toe in a rainbow of brightly coloured paint.

So far, the team have raised over £500 for St Teresa’s Hospice, a charity that provides palliative and end of life care to residents in South Durham and North Yorkshire.

Visit the St Teresa’s Hospice website to find out more about the incredible work they do.

“Footprints in the Community”

As patrons of the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, we were invited along to a very special event as part of their Golden Giveaway. The event provides local charities and community groups the opportunity to receive a share of £25,000, with each charity taking home at least £500.

We were thrilled to present a cheque to local charity, Footprints In The Community, an organisation that helps to address isolation and poverty to those living in Redcar. The donation will be used towards their Lunch Box Project, which provides packed lunches, games and craft activities for families in need throughout the summer holidays.

“Helen Marries Her Sole Mate”

This month, Helen from our Reception team tied the knot to her husband Jamie, and spent their special day surrounded by close friends and family. Helen has worked for the company for over 9 years and is the first person to welcome guests upon arrival at our Head Office.

We’d like to send a huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Seymour, and hope they have a long and happy future together!

“Mud-Soaked Mayhem for Zoe’s Place”

This month saw Kelly, our Merchandise Manager, take on the Tough Mudder Classic. The day was met with torrential rain and bucket-loads of mud, but Kelly and the team from A.S. Fitness in Normanby battled through the many obstacles and have raised more than £600 for Zoe’s Place Trust. Kelly is now wearing her many bruises as badges of honour! Incredible work, team!

If you’d like to make a donation to the team, you can sponsor them directly on their Just Giving page.
