Customer Reviews:

"!"

Their loyal customer following tells them that they are the best shoe shop in Guildford due to their extensive range of brands and styles. The one-stop shop for all occasions sells both men’s and ladies footwear and accessories, and is situated on Market Street just off the main high street. With its beginnings as a Gabor-only store in 2001, the store, managed by Lizzie grew over time to incorporate other women’s brands into the product mix as well as men’s footwear. Staff are convinced there is a ghost in the stockroom, and they say their most memorable customers are the ones who bring in chocolates for them!

When travelling to the store by car, park at either the closest North Street Car Park (15 minutes on foot from the store), or grab a return park and ride ticket for £2.40. There are frequent bus links on the store’s surrounding streets, and Guildford Railway Station is 13 minutes from the store on foot.

South West of Central London is the large town of Guildford, set within the county of Surrey. The place where Lewis Carroll was living when he wrote ‘Through The Looking Glass’ is overlooked by a magnificent castle with gardens, a great place to explore during the summer months. For a 360 degree panoramic view of the town, head to the top of its great tower.

Harris and Hoole, an artisan coffee house selling their own concoction lies round the corner from the Charles Clinkard shop. Sip on a generously sized, luxurious latte with a sweet treat from their counter. If you fancy a night out, G Live, the town’s greatest entertainment venue always has an array of great entertainment.

Managing The Early Learning Centre for 10 years, Lizzie wanted to challenge herself and work with a new product. She was tempted by Charles Clinkard’s family orientated culture, and loyal customer following. 4 years on, she now has a passion for shoes and the products she sells that she didn’t have before, and her motivation levels are kept on top by her regular customers popping in, and the lovely products and staff she is lucky enough to work with. The Art Graduate and self-confessed bookworm spends her time outside of work at the Theatre, cinema, and visiting art galleries and London markets.

Her favourite style in store at the moment, as well as her all-time favourite is the Gabor Toye. She bought them after wanting a pair of smart boots, but they are so comfortable that she wears them all the time. Upon winning the lottery, she would continue to buy Gabor, just more of them! Obviously she’d then need a bigger house and a shoe wardrobe to fit them all in!
