Customer Reviews:

Fabulous service in your Cambridge store this week. Sales assistant (Shona) was just excellent, really knew her stuff and very patient with my son letting him test each shoe that he tried on to see if it was suitable for playing football in!! Got just the right shoes and went away happy. Thank you to Shona.

About the Shop

The Charles Clinkard shoe shop in Cambridge opened in 2008, along with the Grand Arcade in which it is situated. Located in the heart of the city, the store can be found on the first floor of the Arcade; the nearest entrance on St Andrews Street. With passionate young staff members under the management of Sally and deputy Mourad, the store specialises in fitting kid’s shoes and stocks children’s favourite brands, including Start-Rite, Geox, Clarks and Hush Puppies - great back to school brands. Adult brands include Gabor, Rieker, Van Dal and Fly London, as well as Skechers, Barker and Anatomic Gel - you're sure to find something to suit the whole family within our Cambridge shoe shop shelves.

The city centre location makes the area a hive of activity and a hub for excellent eateries. If you’re visiting the town, why not pay visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum; go punting on the River Cam, or enjoy a picnic at Jesus Green? Cambridge train station allows for easy access to the city if travelling from afar; there is also a park and ride at Babraham Park which is just a ten minute journey to the city centre.

About the Area

Home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, the town is a great central location with easy access to London and several international airports. Sat on the River Cam, Cambridge is also home to University colleges Kings, Trinity, and St. Johns with the iconic institutions making up most of the cities skyline. Featuring the biggest deposit library in the world, though Cambridge is known for its education there's plenty of places which offer time to unwind and socialise.

After a long day of shopping and a trip to our store, why not have a sit down in an eatery within the Grand Arcade. Choose from chain foods such as Wagamamas, Carluccio's, and Honest Burgers or have a slice of cake and a coffee at Savino's or Aromi. And, if that's not enough fun for the day why not take a punting trip down the River Cam or head for an architectural tour around the city featuring the town's many bridges, or if you're the adventurous type take a climb up Great St Mary's Church Tower and see the views of Cambridge from above.

About the Manager

Sally Lord is the manager at our Cambridge store and has been with us at Charles Clinkards for over 10 years. Sally has a history with Clinkards, working originally in the Milton Keynes store as a Saturday sales consultant and then climbing the ladder, she progressed to trainee manager and then manager of the Oxford store, before moving to Cambridge.

Sally’s shoe of choice would be the classic UGG boot which is stocked at Charles Clinkard; she will be wearing them this season as they will keep her feet warm and comfortable. Sally also loves an UGG slipper for after work hours.
