Customer Reviews:

I always go to Charles Clinkard for my eldest’s shoes, mainly to ensure correct fitting but also as all of the staff are so friendly and incredibly helpful. The time came to have our 1 year old’s first shoe fitting and I didn’t hesitate to book a fitting appointment. The experience was great as always and the added touches of the Polaroid photograph and the beautiful memory box were perfect. Jamie sized both of our daughters feet yesterday - she was super friendly, so patient and played the main part in us leaving the store very happy with shoes for my eldest and our youngest’s first pair of shoes. Thank you!

Always have a great experience here! Went this morning, was very quiet and staff were very helpful as usual! Always listen to what my child wants/needs and always very pleased with the quality of staff, stock, products and facilities. A lovely lady called Vicky served us and she has done on previous occasions.

As always fantastic service from Charles Clinkard at Milton Keynes. Thanks to Jamie for being so great with 3 little ones. Gave Oliver the manager a call just now to say thanks to him and his staff because in these times a thank you will mean a lot to the retail sector.

About the Shop

Standing proud within the shopping centre, The Centre MK, for its fantastic product range and knowledgeable, friendly staff, the Milton Keynes Charles Clinkard store has stood on Midsummer Boulevard since 2000. Ran by Oliver, the store offers a wide range of men’s, women’s, boys and girls footwear and accessories, and a specialist fitting service.

Four Multi Storey car parks surround The Centre MK, offering convenient pay and display parking. The Centre MK also houses The Point, a bus hub linking a network of frequent bus services to the centre, as well as the nearby Milton Keynes Railway Station (10 minutes by bus).

About the Area

Just 45 minutes North West of London, the large town of Milton Keynes is home to Bletchley Park, the mansion which housed British code breakers in World War Two. Captained by Alan Turing, the Enigma code was famously cracked here, greatly helping the war effort. Ten minutes on foot from the Milton Keynes Charles Clinkard store is one of the UK’s largest indoor ski slopes which famously contained the first ‘real snow’ slope in the country. Also home to the first multiplex cinema in the UK (1985), the world’s first operational computer (developed in Bletchley Park in the 1940s) and the first fast food drive-thru outlet in the UK, definitely worth a visit in the town is the exciting Bletchley Park. Alternatively unleash your adventurous side and take a snowboarding lesson on Snozone’s chilly slopes. Following a successful shopping trip, go grab yourself some veggie meatballs in the Ikea restaurant - a three minute drive or 15 minute walk from the store, or relax with one of their coffees and a wedge of their heavenly Swedish Daim cake.

About the Manager

Oliver keeps his daily focus on ensuring his fantastic team is offering their very best customer service, training and developing them, and effectively merchandising new products delivered to store. He consistently keeps his shop spic and span, and keeps on top of paperwork. Offering great service and quality branded footwear to the store’s lovely customers is what motivates him to succeed.

Oliver started his 16 year service for Charles Clinkard at Milton Keynes working as a Part Time Sales Assistant, his first memory of the family-orientated company. In 2001, he joined the company’s Trainee Manager Scheme and then became the Assistant Manager of our Manchester branch, and 9 months later moved to Guildford where he remained the manager for the next 2 years. He managed Nottingham for 9 years before returning back where it all started and has been managing the Milton Keynes store since 2015!
