Customer Reviews:

Went to Charles Clinkard in Warwick with my mum and nan to buy some holiday shoes. Abbie and Matt were so very helpful. Felt very welcomed in the store and were still smiling even when we had tried on almost all the shoes in the shop! Can highly recommend for a stress-free shoe shopping experience. 5 stars!

Just want to say what wonderful service I had at the Warwick store today. Well organised, quiet and all the right precautions in place. Lovely lady helped us with my daughter’s first shoes. She made us feel very welcome and at ease. The lady who measured my daughter was wearing a face guard and gloves, there was also a sanitising station at the entrance. Really friendly lady and very helpful. Thanks again.

Excellent service in the Warwick store today. a lovely girl called Madi served us for my sons first pair of shoes. Even though my son doesn't like anything on his feet she was very patient. Will definitely be returning.

About the Shop

Coten End, formerly ‘Cotton End’, is the setting for Warwick’s Charles Clinkard store, succeeding 40 years of footwear retailing on the site. Being the only shoe shop offering children’s shoes in the lively market town, it is the hub for Back to School shopping for the numerous of schools in the area - especially as all staff are highly skilled in children’s shoe fitting. As well as children’s footwear and accessories, the small store, which is managed by Matt, also stocks a wide range for both men and women.

Free on-street parking is available on Coten End, and the Warwick Railway Station is a mere five minute walk from the store, with multiple bus links en route.

To top of your day in Warwick, stare in wonder at the mighty Warwick Castle, possibly Britain’s greatest medieval experience! It boasts an exciting display of live jousting, haunted tours and trebuchets being fired. You can even stay in one of the Castle’s Tower suites, medieval glamping tents or at one of the Knights Village lodges.

About the Manager

Starting his day at 8.20am, Matt arrives at the store to tackle web orders and emails, before opening the doors at 9am. Taking a hand’s-on approach to managing his small store, his close knit team has the inherent focus to sell, sell, sell. When the doors close at 5:30pm, Matt updates his staff figures and notice boards for a 5.50pm escape.

Matt began his career with the company in August 2012 as the deputy manager of Stratford upon Avon. The Acapella aficionado was promoted to manager of the store in his home town, Warwick in October 2014. He describes the best part of his job being that he gets to meet new people each and every day and the inner warm glow he gets when customers return because of the great service his store provides.

A true family man, Matt loves spending time with his wife and 2 children, who are the motivation for him to succeed at work and in life. His day off on Tuesday's is spent running 10 miles or Half Marathons in the morning before doing the school run in the afternoon. The keen Leeds United fan's firm favourite shoe brand is Loake and the style Thompson is his go to formal shoe of choice.
