We have a wide selection of shoes for Men, Women, Boys and Girls

Customer Reviews:

" We have just returned from shopping in the Nottingham Store. We had both our children measured and shoes fitted today. The customer service we received from Conor was so amazing, Shoe shopping with my children is normally some what stressful to say the least. Conor was so professional, willing to spend time with my ten year old to make sure she loved her trainers, We will certainly be back. Thank you to Conor again for such a pleasant shopping experience" - Gerard

"Bought new shoes today from the Nottingham shop. The assistant whose name was Grace was helpful, knowledgeable and very personable. A very pleasant experience"- Clive

" was recently served by 16 year old Natasha, in The Victoria Centre Nottingham Store. The best shopping experience I have had for years. She was so helpful, definitely wanted to please 'The Customer' and most important built up an instant rapport with me. She certainly had the intelligence and customer relation skills of a more experienced sales assistance and really cared, not just going through the motions. A very bright future lies ahead for this lovely young lady. Thank you Natasha, I love my boots!"- 14th November, Susan Tomanek

One of the oldest Charles Clinkard branches, the Northallerton store has traded in the bustling market town for almost 50 years. Refurbished in January 2017, it offers an outstanding selection of men’s, women’s, boys and girls footwear and accessories. Led by its store manager Sue, the range of good quality brands combined with top level service and their specialist fitting expertise sets the store apart from other shoe shops in the area. Located centrally on Northallerton’s main high street, the train station is a ten minute walk from the store. Bus links are abundant around the shops prime location, and there is a large car park with many spaces available one street over (Applegarth Car Park).

Set within the Vale of Mowbray’s rich green farmland, the North Yorkshire market town of Northallerton was once on the old Great North Road between London and Edinburgh, still holding a thriving market on its renowned Georgian High Street. Barker’s Department Store and the gourmet food emporium Lewis and Cooper add to the high street’s distinct character; both family-run businesses have been familiar faces here for over 100 years!

Head to the other gem standing prominently on the high street- the renowned Yorkshire (also family-run) Betty’s Tea Rooms, and treat yourself to one of their outstanding breakfasts, Betty’s Yorkshire Rarebit or something delectable from the Cake trolley to accompany your pot of proper Yorkshire Tea! If you are looking to maximise your stay in the area, forty minutes by car takes you to the spectacular Fountains Abbey, one of the largest and best preserved ruined monasteries in England, famously dissipated by King Henry VIII in 1539.

A real people person, Sue the store’s manager spends her busy days meeting the many different people walking through the doors and making sure they are given the best possible service. This is definitely her favourite part of the job- seeing customers leave her store fully satisfied and happy with their store experience. Outside of work she spends time with her grandchildren, and socialises with her friends and family.

She has worked her way up from supervisor to manager level with the store, and every day is motivated by meeting such a variety of different people and passing on her knowledge and experiences. In her 23-year service, Sue has developed a fine-tuned knowledge of shoes. She recommends the Gabor Lilia in store currently, and her favourite pair ever bought were from Botticelli which came with a matching handbag (they were comfortable and looked top notch!). Upon winning the lottery, Sue will purchase custom-made shoes for an optimum fit!
