Customer Reviews:

The staff in the Cribbs Causeway shop were very helpful & efficient. My order arrived promptly and was well packaged. I would certainly use the shop again.

Visited the branch at Cribbs Bristol, what a fabulous selection of brands, bought two pairs and the absolute best white trainers I’ve seen, slim and feminine. A gorgeous shop for adults and children.

About the Shop

The Cribbs Causeway shopping mall and leisure complex features a number of retail giants, restaurants and a cinema, and is home to the Charles Clinkard Bristol store which has been a resident for over fifteen years. Combining a fantastic range of men’s, women’s, boys and girls footwear and accessories, as well as a specialist fitting service, the teams prime focus is on quality customer service which is what makes them stand out in the sea of other footwear specialists in the centre. Always looking for ways to improve the store, shop manager Laura and her passionate team members, aim to ensure every customer no matter how young or old has a successful trip and enjoys their visit to her store. The Bristol store's most loyal following is Mrs Hayworth, who has visited fortnightly for the past ten years. Laura looks forward to showing her the company’s new styles which she knows she will love!

With around 7,000 free parking spaces at Cribbs Causeway, a trip to our store via car is easiest with a bus journey coming in second due to the centre having its own station.

About the Area

Famously the first place to produce a chocolate bar suitable for widespread consumption (at Fry’s Chocolate), and hosting the first ever bungee jump (at Clifton Suspension Bridge) Bristol is a fascinating city in England’s South West. A place with many talents Ribena was also invented here, and hot air balloons have been produced in Bristol more than anywhere else in the world!

Shopping can be a hefty activity, so why not take a break from the fast-paced world of Cribbs Causeway and slip into Starbucks just a few moments’ walk from the store, for a hot toasted sandwich and your usual coffee order. If you want to maximise your visit to the area, take a short eight minute car journey from the shopping mall and leisure complex to the Bristol Air Hop - a trampoline park with fun for the whole family, or if you're a little further a field make some summer plans to visit Bristol when they host the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta in August and you will see a sky sprinkled with a multi-coloured array of the flying aircrafts.

About the Manager

For over 15 years, Laura has worked for Charles Clinkard at their Bristol branch. The self-motivated mother of two started in 2007 as Floor Manager, progressing to Assistant Manager and then becoming Manager in 2014. No two days are the same for Laura, she could be managing and monitoring staff and sales performance one moment, and then training staff the next! She strives to ensure that every customer leaves the store having had a positive experience and with the desire to return. The most rewarding part of Laura's job is getting to know such a wide ranging and diverse group of people; her staff, customers and colleagues in the wider Charles Clinkard business. Competitive by nature, Laura is always striving to be the best. She used to compete at a national level for athletics, and in her spare time loves to be active by going clay pigeon shooting and adventuring with her children and dog!

Laura values the brand Regarde for their comfort without compromising style, and her favourite pair of shoes ever purchased are definitely Converse trainers; great to wear all year round and available in a wide range of colours! Upon winning the lottery, she would resist the temptation to go on a spending spree, and instead use the money to open her own business.
