Cheltenham

The Cheltenham location has been a shoe shop for more than 60 years and a warm welcome is always assured. Catching the number 100 bus will drop you at the stop right outside the store, it is also an east walk from the railway station. 

Anna has worked for Charles Clinkard for almost 20 years, starting out as a Deputy in Nottingham in June 2006, then working in Stratford and Bristol, moving to Warwick as manager followed by 10 years running the Shrewsbury branch. She moved to the Cheltenham store in February 2025 to be closer to family and friends. So, she has worked in a variety of different types of our shops, from the brand new to the old established.  

No two days are the same for Anna once they open the doors! A team coffee first thing to plan the day ahead and then the team cracks on with serving customers, processing stock and generally pottering - keeping the shop looking lovely. Come 5pm it is home time as well as time for a quick tidy up ready for the next day. For Anna being a part of Charles Clinkard is being part of a huge family as it is a very caring company to work for, and she is proud to do so. If she had to recommend a shoe if would be the Gabor Dolly Women's Trainer, which is fair to say she has had on every colour and is currently on her 9^th pair which is a stunning verde suede. 

When it comes to caring for your shoes Anna’s top tip would be Use it! Don’t just file it under the sink! Protector is your best starting point if you want your shoes to stay looking good for longer.
