About the Manager

The manager of our Charles Clinkards store is Linda Geddes. Having worked in the footwear industry for 19 years, like most women, Linda (it is safe to say,) now has a passion for shoes. Beginning at The British Shoe Corporation, Linda moved on to Clinkards after noticing an advertisement for manager while on maternity leave. She has been with the Sterling Mills, Charles Clinkards store since its unveiling 13 years ago. Linda, therefore, has had the opportunity to watch the store grow and develop in to the huge success that it is today.

Interestingly, Linda never intended to work in footwear, having stumbled across her career by accident. At 19, she was at a crossroads; her parents informed her that they would only agree on her wishes to leave college if she found herself a job. Linda did exactly that; by finding a 17 hours per week position at Lilley and Skinner. The rest, she states, is history.
