We regret to announce that our Teesside Park store will be permanently closing Thursday 14th May. We would like to sincerely thank all our customers for their support and custom over the years.
The Teesside Park store has been situated there since 2016, a memorable moment for the store being the company’s 100-year celebrations in 2024. The best way to reach the centre is via or bus, there is free parking for up to four hours, you can park in supermarket bays thereafter. This particular store has a modern layout, with a strong driven team and returning loyal customers.
Middlesbrough is famous for its industrial heritage, notably steel and chemical industries. The area is also known for the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum, proximity to the coast and countryside and the North York Moors. There is also the famous “Parmo”. Tees Barrage is close for water sports and walks as well as food and drink. Notable people from the area include James Arthur, Bob Mortimer, Brian Clough and of course Captain Cook.
A typical day for manager Steve includes doing the figures, staff briefings, driving service levels and achieving results as well as ensuring merchandising and housekeeping standards are being maintained. He has been with the company for over 20 years, often supporting other branches with new systems or stocktakes. Some of his fond memories with the company includes getting his foot measured as a child in the Newcastle store and more recently a day at the races to celebrate the company’s centenary.
Steve enjoys the fact that Charles Clinkard is a local independent company with loyal, hardworking staff. A brand he would recommend is Bugatti as he really likes the brand due to its comfort and great price. Outside of work he enjoys a game of snooker, anything Newcastle United and visiting the Lakes.
The top shoe care tip he would recommend is to simply protect your shoes with the Nano spray.
