TOMS® footwear was founded in 2006 by American traveller Blake Mycoskie, befriended children in a village in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he started his own shoe company and began the One for One™ movement; for every pair of TOMS® shoes purchased, a new pair would be given to a child in need.
