This season , floral fashions are flourishing on the high-street, in full bloom on bags and feet. Floral shoes are a perennial favourite, but they are taking a fuller form for 2013 with embroidery and embellishments competing with prints for the spotlight.
The good news is that any age group can wear this trend. And no, you don’t have to be green-fingered, as full-on flower power can be a bit much for some people. Accessorizing with flirty floral bits and bobs can really make your look pop.
And what better time to don your florals than the week of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show?! The gardening-world equivalent of Fashion Week, the floral trends can be spotted in both the flower beds and on the visitors. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the show and to celebrate the ban on garden gnomes has been lifted for one year only – though we don’t recommend this as a style tip.
Day to night, flowers are the badge of femininity for summer. Even if the sun isn’t shining as much as we’d like, you can still put a spring in your step once and FLORAL!
All that remains to be answered is whether you’ll be wearing them in their textured, three-dimensional form or opting to keep it flat with a floral printed fancy…
