You’ll need a hearty, healthy breakfast to help keep your energy up throughout the day! Try our healthy pancake recipe – they’re a scrummy treat but also super good for you!

Rummage through your cupboards for snacks to take out with you too, and be sure to fill up a couple of bottles with water – staying hydrated in the great outdoors is extremely important! Check out some more tips about walk preparation here.

Why not pack a picnic? Hike until you find a nice spot to sit – be in a field, by a lake or even in your local park. Roll out a blanket and enjoy your pre-packed feast! Affordable and peaceful, you can enjoy some bonding time.

You don’t have to live in the country to explore the outdoors – you can seek out a trail in the wilderness or in an urban environment.  If you do want to get away from it all, why not take a bike? This easy, affordable way to travel will allow you to explore paths you can’t take with a car.

What to wear

The catwalks might be filled with high-heeled, pointy-toed contraptions that the majority of normal humans (and a number of models) can’t walk in. But we’re not about that.
