Shhh … The UGG boot is back in the high-fashion fold.
We’ll admit, we never stopped loving our soft, snug suede UGGS, but perhaps they haven’t been quite at the height of fashion over the last few years.
We can’t count how many times we’ve declined to step into our chicest heels and opted for a pair of comfy UGGs instead. They’ve long been one of our guiltiest pleasures, and now fashion’s coterie of UGG revivalists won’t be spotted without them.
The sheepskin boot is no longer the preserve of a hungover coffee run, or the Sloane ‘yummy mummy’. Instead, a new generation of stylish stars have appropriated the ultra-comfortable UGG.
Last summer signalled our reintroduction to the ‘ugly sandal’ – the Birkenstock – and the resurgence of the Sports Luxe trend has seen devil-may-care casual trainers work their way into our everyday wardrobes. Perhaps, then, it is only natural that UGG boots make their return.
There are still certain simple style codes to adhere to when wearing your UGGs:
– Tracksuit bottoms are a major no-go.
