Perfectly Polished Patent Shoes

Oooooh shiny…

When it comes to anything that shines or shimmers, glints or gleams, our magpie eyes are instantly drawn.

So when this season’s catwalks showcased a whole host of  glossy patent leathers, we didn’t know which way to look!

As with all good trends, the patent leather look has been replicated by our favourite brands so we can get our piece of the action. Rock the high-shine trend in high-style by investing in a few key patent pieces…

Daytime

We love adding a pop of patent to an otherwise laid-back look – it adds a touch of luxe to a casual outfit and is just unexpected enough to turn heads.

Dip a toe into high-shine style with our current obsession: the low-cut ankle boot. We’re pairing this patent toe pair from Hispanitas with dark jeans and a moto jacket for a lustrous look.

If you prefer to keep your feet flat on the ground, the Clarks Griffin Monty are a perfectly practical pair for running around in. We’re all for embracing their sweet T-bar shape that  throws us back to days in the school yard, but keep it more glam than exam by arming yourself with a sleek ombre grab bag in a blue hue.

Evening

The ultimate look-at-me leather, patent is made for parties.  And with Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to get prepped for plenty!

Durable on the dancefloor, patent party shoes are the perfect way to introduce shimmer to your ensemble. Team these sky-high Hispanitas heels with your favourite LBD for a look that can cover both work and play, so you don’t have to worry about 5 o’clock cocktails!

Of course, you don’t need heels to have a good time! The Charles Clinkard Paulina brogues are a pretty patent pair that looks dapper at any ‘do, especially teamed with dark skinny jeans and a sleek blazer.
