Is Black the New Black?

BlackEdit-KendraSienna-1200x627

The late Steve Jobs wore a simple, personal ‘uniform’ every day.

The logic behind this was to reduce the number of daily decisions he had to make through one singular sartorial stroke. In a world that demands our instant opinion, quick response and work/life juggle, the Apple visionary’s streamlining rationale makes sense.

While our weekend wear may be more technicolour than Joseph – plus dreamcoat – we can see why there are people who streamline their wardrobes into a 99% black affair for work. It’s really flattering. It’s pretty much impossible to stain it (and if you’re anything like us, that’s essential.) And it goes superlatively with, well, black.

That’s not to say you should let your on-duty days diminish original thinking.

Black to Basics

There’s little better than those closet classics that you can rely on time and time again, whenever you’re in a bit of a sartorial spin. Perennially stylish essentials that come to the rescue whenever you’re in a clothing crisis. Pieces you can buy now, safe in the knowledge that they’ll never stray from style.

Yet all too often these boring buys don’t offer your outfit enough edge, when what you’re craving is something that satisfies your fashionable instincts.

Clarks have crafted an footwear edit that does just that.

The Black Edit

The Clarks Black Edit takes your everyday essentials and elevates them to a whole new level that will satiate your yearning for of-the-moment designs. These classic styles may have retro roots, but stylish new twists make them so right for now – and beyond.

With shoes, boots and sandals that play with new season textures, shapes and forms, these all-black all-stars are the buy now, wear forever favourites that allow you to keep one elegant foot in the fashion door when dressing for demanding days.
