“Society Of Shoe Fitters Training Course” 

Julie at our Leeds store and Ginny at our York store have both recently completed a training course with the Society Of Shoe Fitters, gaining them a qualification in shoe fitting.

The Society Of She Fitters are an organisation who believe in and promote the importance of having shoes fitted correctly. Ill fitting shoes can cause discomfort and even affect foot health making professional shoe fittings very important for both children and adults.

“Charitable Giving At Darlington” 

The team at our Darlington store were recently approached by a lady named Sarah Jane who had just returned from Romania, helping rescue dogs with the charity Paws2Rescue. While she was in Romania, Sarah Jane noticed the high levels of child poverty and the lack of children with shoes. The Charity then decided to do something to help these children and reached out to the local community.

Over the past few weeks the team at Darlington have been collecting shoe boxes to help Sarah Jane with her appeal and have also bought shoes, socks and Easter eggs to send to the Romanian children.  Other stores also sent shoe boxes to help with the appeal and our Leeds branch sent a big box with shoes, socks and Easter eggs.

“Autism Awareness Training With Daisy Chain” 

Our store teams have recently completed training with the charity Daisy Chain to help them become Autism Aware while fitting children’s shoes.

If you would like to call and make a children’s fitting appointment we are able to accommodate any requests you may have, such as turning off the stores music or dimming the lights.
