Cupcakes For A Cause
Last month, the team from our Head Office pulled together and took part in a delicious Bake Sale to raise money for St Teresa’s Hospice, an incredible charity based in Darlington that provides palliative and end of life care to residents in South Durham and North Yorkshire. The Bake Sale included an abundance of mouthwatering delights from crumbling chocolate chip cookies to irresistibly indulgent brownies, raising a fantastic £120!
Visit the St Teresa’s Hospice website to read more about the fantastic work they do.
Christmas Gift Appeal
As we entered the festive season, staff from our Head Office joined forces with Middlesbrough Social Services to collect Christmas gifts for those less fortunate and spread some festive cheer.
With thanks to the huge hearts from staff in our Leeds store, a wealth of toys and gifts were also donated to the Salvation Army as part of their annual Christmas Present Appeal which were distributed to families within the local community.
Incredible work, everyone!
Jumper For Joy
On 13th December, staff from our stores and Head Office took part in Save The Children’s annual fun-filled Christmas Jumper Day. From sequined Santas to red-nosed Rudolphs, the team threw themselves into the Christmas spirit and helped to spread a little festivity whilst raising over £500 for a fantastic cause.

Tiny Feet Arrive In Newcastle
We’d like to send a huge congratulations to Claire from our Newcastle store who welcomed two new additions to her family on 17th December with the arrival of twins Willow and Harry!
Wishing you and your family a lifetime of joy and happiness, Claire!
Earlier this year, we re-launched our Caring Soles shoe appeal in our stores throughout the North East, and with thanks to the huge hearts of our customers, we received over 500 pairs of unwanted shoes to be given to those in need.
The generous donations were greatly received at Middlesbrough Council’s annual ‘In Out of the Cold’ Christmas event, a day which aims to offer relief to the homeless and those facing hardship.

Long Service Celebrations
Last month, Ginny (left) the Manager of our York branch, celebrated 20 years working with Charles Clinkard! Ginny joined the company in 1999 and has also taken on the role of Training and Development Manager, and regularly travels across the country to assist with the running of our retail branches. December was also a special month for Sue (right) Branch Manager of our Northallerton store, as she proudly celebrated 25 years of working for the company.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank both Ginny and Sue for the continued hard work and commitment that they have shown over the years, and for proving to be such valued members of the company!
