It’s time to enjoy some last-minute family fun this bank holiday before the kids go back to school and hopefully a little more normality resumes. With play parks and indoor child friendly places opening back up, it gives you the chance to enjoy the last bank holiday of the year doing your favourite family activities that perhaps you haven’t been able to do this summer.
Here at Charles Clinkard we have the perfect pair of shoes, trainers and more to join you on your family filled day.
Though you may need to check the weather beforehand, there’s plenty of outdoor parks and gardens included in the National Trust – a charity who care for nature, beauty and history all around the UK. If you visit their website, you can search your location and see what stunning surroundings are on your doorstep. At the moment you do have to book tickets to attend due to social distancing but once you’re in the wilderness you can roam around as you please. If the outdoors is where you feel at home as a family, why not shop our walking shoes or wellies for a rainy day or check out our casual collections online.
For some indoor fun, child friendly play areas across the country have started to reopen with health and hygiene measures in place. Why not head to Jump 360 for an energetic day bouncing on the trampolines or check to see if your local soft play is open to allow your little ones to burn off some steam. Unfortunately, some areas may not be open due to safety measures, but there’ll still be plenty of activities to get stuck in to. If you do head to a soft play this bank holiday, why not explore our range of casual shoes and trainers for the whole family, though little ones may have to remove them once they’re inside.
Bank holiday Monday is also the last day in August to take advantage of the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, so if your families’ favourite past time is heading out for a bite to eat, why not pop your postcode into the GOV website and see which places still have availability. Breakfast, lunch, lite bites, or dinner, a lot of places are offering the 50 per cent off (max £10 per person) on food and soft drinks throughout the full day, with some even extending the offer into September. Why not dress to impress and browse our website for smart shoes for the full family.
If those activities don’t take your fancy, then there’s plenty of other things to try. For the animal lovers a local farm or the aquarium, or a science and history museum for those who love to learn. And, if your family are the total thrill seekers, why not head to a theme park for hours of fun!
