Turn Blue Monday Bright

The third Monday of January is known as “Blue Monday” and is often considered the saddest day of the year. There are many absences recorded from work and school on this day, as it is a time when people feel low and struggle with their mental health.

Turn Blue Monday Bright is a campaign created by Teesside mental health charity Russ Devereux Headlight Project. The purpose of the campaign is to spread awareness about mental health issues and to encourage people to become more active in making their days brighter by wearing colourful clothes, spending time with colleagues or friends, or even baking something with bright colours.

In support of Turn Blue Monday Bright, the Charles Clinkard Head Office and store staff wore their brightest outfits to raise money for the cause and to recognise those down days and what we can all do to make ourselves and those around us feel brighter.
