Cosy Baking

With the typical British weather, it’s possible that cosy days spent at home will most likely be inevitable! A perfect way to spend a dreary afternoon is with some delicious autumnal bakes.

Whether it’s banana bread, cookies or Halloween themed recipes, the full family can get involved with both baking and eating some scrumptious treats!

At Home Cinema

Another at home activity that’s also cost effective, why not create a home cinema?

Grab some blankets, snacks and dim the lights to create the perfect cinema environment from the comfort of your living room.

Halloween Inspired Activities

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to delve into some spooky activities.

Whether it’s ghoulish crafts, spooky inspired recipes or outdoor activities such as pumpkin picking, making your half-term activities Halloween themed makes them all the more fun!

National Trust has a list of activities, adventures and events for throughout the half term, including spooktacular ideas too!

Spend Time Outdoors

Although we enjoy being cosy, sometimes it’s nice to be outside too!

Enjoy the crisp weather by exploring the outdoors, it’s the perfect way to get all of the family moving by adventuring in nature. This activity can be made even more interactive by creating fun games for your little ones to participate in, such as a nature trails, competitions on who can spot the most wildlife, bug hunts and gathering conkers.

Participate In Local Events

Local museums and leisure centres (amongst many other venues!) may offer free entry, or host events designed for your little ones to have fun across the half-term holidays – especially with Halloween approaching, there are sure to be many events and activities taking place.

Many may advertise via social media or through local children’s centres, so keep up to date with attractions in your local area to help you with ideas on how to fill the days this half-term!
