In recent years we have seen a move away from neutral and minimalist dressing, with colour trends following suit.
From deep, rich tones to soft and muted pastels – striking colour palettes have made their way onto the runways and to the top of the trends in recent years and 2025 is no exception.
Although Pantone’s colour of the year is a slightly more toned down shade, runways showcased luxurious rich tones, whilst trend predictions highlight citrus-toned hues.
We’ve compiled the top trending shades from forecasts, runways and new in sections to bring you the five key colour trends of 2025.
Take a look.
Mocha Mousse

Pantone Colour Of The Year 2025
Chocolate brown was one of the most popular shades of 2024, and with Pantone coining ‘Mocha Mousse’ their colour of the year for 2025 – the tone is showing no signs of disappearing any time soon.
Described as a ‘warming, brown hue imbued with richness’, this shade offers a sense of comfort and elegance. Add into your collection with rich suede styles and accessories.
Sunset Shades

Taking hints from nature, sunset shades are set to trend this year – with a focus on bright citrus inspired hues such as tangerine, lemon and grapefruit.
Particularly bold and cheery tones of yellow are at the forefront of many runways, adding a sprinkle of sunshine into your wardrobe.
Pretty In Pastels

Nothing screams spring/summer quite like a pastel colour palette.
Soft tones tend to be much more flattering than bolder colours, so it’s no wonder that pastels are set to trend this year. With a focus on muted but still colourful, now is the perfect time to branch out and inject little pops of colour into your collection whether that’s a sage, a butter yellow or a pale pink.
Cherry Red

Arguably 2024’s defining shade was burgundy. Seen in everything from hair colour, to nails, to fashion – this hue was on everyone’s wishlist last year.
This year, red as a whole seems to be solidifying itself at the top of the trends (after all, it is one of the most timeless shades!), with the colour spectrum ranging from a true fire engine red to a deeper shade.
There’s a focus on deeper tones carrying over from the burgundy craze, but in 2025 it’s all about the cherry red – offering a rich, luxurious and seductive hue to your wardrobe.
Emerald Tones

Partly inspired by nature and partly inspired by the huge hit of 2024 Wicked, emerald green is a shade to look out for.
A deeper alternative to last year’s slime green (thank you Brat Summer), emerald has connotations to opulence and royalty, adding luxurious touches to your everyday.
Which are you adding to your collection?
