Your Half-Term Activity List!

The February half-term is upon us and we know how difficult it can be keeping little ones (and yourself!) entertained whilst they are off school.

So, we’ve pulled together a few of our favourite activities for the full family to get involved in this half-term!

Keep reading to see some of our favourite things to do.

Visit The Library

Reading is a great activity to partake in with your little ones, whether that’s at home, out and about or actually spending time in bookstores and libraries.

Making it fun is key, and a lot of book shops and libraries tend to do free reading events – especially at times such as half term!

Regardless of whether there is a story time session available, having a trip to either the bookshop or library is a fun yet educational way to fill in an afternoon.

Arts & Crafts

An at home activity that’s also cost effective, why not create an in-house art studio?

Grab some paints, pens, paper – whatever you like, and let the little ones be as creative as possible!

Spend Time Outdoors

Although staying in can be fun, spending time outside is nice too – especially with the weather perking up!

Enjoy the early Spring weather by exploring the outdoors, whether that’s to the park, off on a woodland adventure or by organising a little game such as a bug hunt, creating a nature trails or competitions on who can spot the most wildlife.

Host A Baking Competition

Another fun at home activity – baking!

A great way at involving the full family is by turning this wholesome activity into a (friendly) competition, whether that’s by grading the decoration of cakes for example, or seeing who can ice biscuits the fastest.

Of course baking is just as fun without the competitions, and we have lots of recipe ideas if you are lacking inspiration – just click here to read.
