Customer Reviews:

I often visit the store in Keswick Cumbria and have to say the customer service from the minute you walk in the door is excellent. The girls are all friendly and go the extra mile to help out, and they are all so patient.

I have had foot surgery and going to have some more and bought a pair of shoes yesterday and had to return them today, Theresa was so helpful and understanding and I have now purchased some sketchers go walk 2. The manageress is always so friendly and so efficient and happy to advise you in different styles etc.

I used to be a customer services manageress so customer service is very important to me, they definitely get it right in Keswick,

Thank you all so much for everything - Tracey

About the Shop

The picturesque market town of Keswick is beautifully nestled in the midst of the stupendous and serene Lake District scenery, with majestic mountains, deep rolling vales and gently lapping waters all around.

Located on Main Street, in the heart of the town, you will find the Charles Clinkard store.  Defined by Moot Hall, a historic building which houses the tourist information centre.

The shoe shop in Keswick opened as Clinkards in 2008 and has a rich footwear heritage, previously being home to the Patterson’s shoe store.

The Keswick shoe shop in is also host to a clearance store, which can be accessed from Luptons Court, so you can bag bargain boots or save on some shoes.

About the Area

As well as shoe shops in Keswick, the town is host to a deeply cultivated history of culture, and offers a wealth of experiences and enjoyment for the many tourists who visit the town. With its flourishing of literary history, as well as the opportunities for lake cruises on Derwentwater and the popular Pencil museum, it is a fantastic place to visit.

Parking for the Charles Clinkard store can be found just opposite the shop, in Bell Close Car Park.

About the Manager

Manager Judith has worked in shoe retail for 11 years, working initially for Patterson’s, where she was promoted to manager’s role just the day before it became part of Charles Clinkard!

Having worked in retail since she left school, Judith is every bit as enthusiastic about her job as she was at the beginning, and loves meeting customers. Whilst a lot of the customers at Keswick are tourists, some of them have turned into loyal customers, coming back to the store as they visit the town.

When she’s not in the shop, Judith can be found practicing her darts in the Bank Tavern. She was Keswick singles champion for 7 years on the trot!  Her favourite shoes are the Gabor Zeta, as ballerina pumps are comfy and not too high, so you can wear them all day without noticing.
