Brand Focus: Crocs
“Whatever your personal feelings on Crocs may be, it is hard to deny that the brand has become something of a cultural phenomenon with two distinct camps rising up; those who love to wear Crocs and those who love to hate them.”

Crocs were originally designed as a boating shoe and have been highly praised for their comfort and durability in the 15 years since their release. Crocs were officially unveiled to the world in Florida at the 2002 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show. The shoes proved an instant hit and completely sold out of all current stock during the show. Crocs are manufactured from a patented foam resin known as Croslite. This material is responsible for making Crocs so comfortable as it molds itself to the shape of the wearers feet.
The rise in the brands global popularity has been helped by some of it’s high profile fans. Crocs can boast former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Michelle Obama among it’s wearers. This year, Crocs are running a high profile ad campaign featuring Drew Barrymore and John Cena.
“In 2015, a young Prince George was sighted wearing a pair of Crocs to a charity event which led to an astronomical 1500% increase in sales for the brand in the days that followed.”

Recently, writer for The Times, Caitlin Moran, made a public statement declaring that she had been wrong to swear off Crocs and even expressed her desire to buy a pair!
So what are your opinions on the Crocs craze? We’d love to hear in the comments below!

They are perfect for: camping, slipping on & off as you move in & out of the house, ideal for wearing to gym before changing to sports shoes & comfortable & robust enough to walk to shops or for sight seeing on hot days. Always worried that we will not be able to find a new pair!
