The May half-term is just around the corner, and with it is lots of fun, endless opportunities for new activities and hopefully some sunshine!
We know it can be difficult to think of new and exciting activities to keep your little ones entertained, so we’ve rounded up a list of a few of our favourite activities to do that you can try out this half-term.
Take a look at a few of our favourite things to do:
Picnic In The Park
A great way to spend time outdoors now that the sunshine and warmer weather are hopefully here to stay, is by going on a picnic!
Round up your favourite snacks, and head out to a local park or your favourite picnic spot to enjoy the sun and some yummy food.
Arts & Crafts
At home crafts are a great activity to keep your little ones entertained, and the options are endless!
Whether it’s drawing inside, creating fun DIY’s or messy play painting outside – there’s fun to be had for all ages.
Strawberry Picking
A great seasonal activity to get you into the summer spirit is strawberry picking! This adds a little extra fun into eating fruit, and makes it more interactive for your little ones by visiting a strawberry field and encouraging them to find and pick their own fruit.
Visit The Beach
If you are lucky enough to live near a beach, or if it is a little further afield for you – either way a trip to the seaside can make a great way to spend the day.
Grab your buckets and spades, suncream and snacks for a fun-filled day by the sea!
Make The Most Of Local Attractions
Many local museums or art galleries may offer free entry, or have events specifically aimed at your young ones. Keeping up to date with attractions in your local area can help you with ideas on how to fill the days this half-term, as well as supporting businesses within your town or city!
